This song is a venn diagram of what I love about music: The perfect instrumental mixed with my passion about a specific subject. At the time, I was deeply into Steven Universe as the show that had piqued my passions very much in the way MLP:FIM did in its heydays. Engaged with both the storyline and the beautiful music SU spoke to me in such a lovely way, that I was hell bent on creating a small EP titled 'Facets' which would include 5-6 SU Inspired songs. I was well on my way with 'Lion's Pride', as well as 'A Light Surge'. There's was only a handful more tracks I needed to complete... MyCutieMarkIsAGun (MCIAG) had made me a Cookie Cat Boom Bap Track. I was hoping to collaborate with Crusader Pony to make a 'Be Wherever You Are' type of acoustic/rap track. I believe I wanted to do a Stevonnie inspired track with something from 'Here Comes A Thought' and of course... this one. Psycosis was a wonderful musician I had met at the San Diego Pacific Pony Con and when I had told him my idea, he got to work putting together this beautiful instrumental. I'm confident we got about 95% to the end when I was involuntarily removed from making music. Psycosis, if you see this, thank you for working with me, as you can see I had a LOT of love for your track. As for everyone else, if you are a Steven Universe Fan, know that I had completed this track BEFORE the Pearl/Greg song 'It's Over' and I thought it would've complemented each other beautifully.
